Dr. Lopamudra Maitra Bajpai is a Visual Anthropologist, author and international columnist. She has been working with History, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Popular Culture and Communication for more than one and a half decades. She is a graduate from Presidency College, Kolkata (now Presidency University), and completed her higher studies from Deccan College Post-graduate and research Institute and Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), Pune and her PhD from University of Calcutta. She has been a university teacher at Symbiosis International University and has also been visiting professor at various universities across India and Sri Lanka. She was also recently deputed as Culture Specialist (Research) at SAARC Cultural Centre, Colombo, Sri Lanka and is a Research Grant Fellow of the India-Sri Lanka Foundation of the Indian High Commission, Sri Lanka. She has several international publications on intangible cultural heritage to her credit and continues to write for international columns. She has represented India across international platforms variously for her research.
